Participation of Racines to conferences and meetings, in Morocco and internationally
Aadel Essaadani and Dounia Benslimane, respectively Racines’ general coordinator and its partnership and development manager, attended the Arts Festivals Summit held from 11 to 14 April 2018 in Ljubljana (Slovenia), and organized by the European Festivals Association. EFA is a network of festivals (music, dance, theatre…) created in 1952 and gathering 100 festivals from 40 countries.

Also, Dounia Benslimane participated to the panel “Culture, the driving force behind the cities of the future” during the 8th edition of the EuropeanLab Forum held from 7 to 9 May 2018 in Lyon (France). This event is organized by Arty Farty association, within the framework of the festival Nuits Sonores of Lyon.
Mehdi Azdem, Racines’ general director, participated to the closing meeting of the SouthMedCV program, that was held on April 10th 2018 in Brussels (Belgium) in Bozar. The meeting’s goal was to present the results and impacts of the 38 projects of the program from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine. It was also an opportunity for the organisers to present the publication “Mahattat”, that retraces the dynamics provoked by the 38 projects in the MENA region, between 2015 and 2018.
Racines has benefited from the SouthMedCV program in 2017, in order to produce the publication “Why culture is the solution?” along with the research plateform www.marsad-observatory.org, within the framework of the project MARSAD.
