The B’Chira Art Center Call for Young Tunisian Artists

The call for participation to the exhibition is open for young Tunisian artists under 30. The deadline for applications is the 30 December 2014. The B’Chira Art Centre has launched a call for participation to the exhibition open for young Tunisian artists under 30 living in Tunisia or abroad. The deadline for applications is the 30 December 2014. The project entitled “GENERATOR 03” aims at discovering and promoting young Tunisian artists in the field of visual arts for the coming five years. Each edition will present ten artists. At the end of this five-year initiative, a major event will present the selected artists. This call for participation aims at giving young artists a greater visibility on the local and international artistic scene. It was also designed to provide training given by culture professionals in order to initiate young artists to the artistic world. The selected artists will also benefit from the assessment of their works by experts. The works produced during the workshops will be presented in an exhibition organised at the B’Chira Art Center. Other important dates Selection of artworks by the jury: 08/01/2015 Workshop: 24/01/2015 (from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm) Deposit of artworks: 28/02/2015 Exhibition: 13/03/2015 Conditions for participation: – A presentation of the candidate including a biography (250 words max.) and information on the artistic experience, the main exhibitions to which she/he participated, the internet links to information on his/her works. – A letter of intent (500 words max.) presenting the approach. – A technical sheet of the artwork (name of the artist, title, technique used, measurement, year of production, cost). – 3 to 5 photographs of the artwork or artworks proposed. Sketches are also accepted. The photos should be of sufficient resolution in order to enable a good print quality.
