Since 2011, ArteEast has been proud to partner with The Watermill Center to support annual residencies for artists from the Middle East and North Africa. We invite artists of all disciplines to take up residence at The Watermill Center in 2015, and create collaborative works that critically investigate, challenge, and extend the existing norms of performance practice. The World Trends Program 2014 (Courants du Monde)

The World Trends Program offers seminars, meeting spaces, cultural stays and trainings to foreign culture professionals. The program has been initiated by the subdivision in charge of international and European affairs for the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. The program has been entrusted to the World Cultures Institute (Maison des Cultures du Monde) which ensures its effective implementation. Call for applications for the Resonant Confluences Project

The Resonant Confluences project has been initiated by Palimpseste under the theme of public space. The aim of the project is to show that at the confluence there is creation. To illustrate this idea, each participant is encouraged to react and take action. The reaction can be an action, a movement, a text, a video, a sound, an action to suggest to other participants, a conference or a street interview etc. However each participant has to be aware that at the same time other participants are performing their action elsewhere. Racines and Arterial Network represented in the cultural events, in Africa and elsewhere

Mr. Aadel Essaadani, chairperson of Racines and Arterial Network, was invited to the MASA, Market for African Performing Arts (www.masa.ci), which has been held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire from 1 to 8 March 2014 after several years of absence. Mr. Essaadani also took part in a UNESCO meeting in Paris March 21, 2014, in the presence of many other cultural actors and international experts to discuss the role of culture as a vector of development in the post-2015 agenda. Finally, the president of Racines will be in Brussels Thursday, April 3, 2014 as part of the round table organized by the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels (BOZAR) on the theme: “Visionary Africa: For the urban policy Africa “, with Mr José Manuel Barroso (EC), Ms Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma (AUC), Paul Dujardin (BOZAR), Mariam Yunusa (UN-Habitat), Olafur Eliasson (artist), Lesley Lokko (architect), Joe Osae Addo (ArchiAfrika).

The Ultra Laboratory

The residence allows the artists and foreign curators to live and work in Casablanca in order to be able to focus on a specific project. The residence is open to any artist who submits a project proposal. Depending on the availability, the Ultra Laboratory hosts two to four artists per year for one month.
